One West Properties

One West Properties Corp is a Vancouver based property management company. The company is one year old, works primarily in the Vancouver Downtown core and is aimed at high-end properties. One West launched a new website last year, but over time discovered that it was not attracting sufficient website visitors.

One West came to us last winter with the business goal to build website traffic with SEO. The initial SEO audit revealed that Vancouver-specific property management keywords did not help website visitors find One West. The search rankings were not only low, but actually not even on the radar of the top 900 results. The only way website visitors could use a search engine to find One West was by searching on keywords that included “One West” in the search.

Since the SEO recommendations were implemented, all this has changed. Vancouver-specific property management keywords now bring up One West within the top two pages of search results. This is an impressive change for a small website, against some very large property management websites. The visibility of the website to the broader public will promote the business with new opportunities online.

Sources of traffic have also changed dramatically, where 67% of their website visitors are now coming from search engines, whereas at the start of their project, only 18% were! This is a huge change in proportion, which indicates the reality that new visitors are finding the website with their online searches. Overall, the project increased website traffic, but more importantly, increased the right kind of traffic, from search engines, using Vancouver-specific Property Management keywords.

One West is now in the middle of a second project to further the SEO focus to encompass content development, code structure, competitor analysis, and new keywords.
